Rocket's Island
We finally got to see the first episode of Rocket's Island on Friday . It was very exciting to see our school on the television. There was a magic telephone box in the village. It was really strange as it looked like Llanarmon was by the sea.  We could see the pub but it is a shop in the programme with sweets in the window!
Our school is called Ballabungie High School. The children's uniforms are the same colour as ours.
Lucy the producer explained how it was filmed and why our school and village were chosen Apparently they wanted  somewhere with lots of hills- we've got lots of those!
Watch out for news of when the programme comes on in April or May.

Where did we find this very old graffiti?

We wanted to know who wrote it!!

Just look at this picture. Where were Year Five?   It was high up above Bro Famau!
Why is there a green line on the Jubilee tower?   Diolch yn fawr David Shiel and Fiona Gale for taking us up to the tower and for letting explore the excavations.

Year Five had a brilliant time at the Jubilee Tower excavations .They learned a lot about Moel Famau and the Tower.

Ask them the following questions:

Which rare bird lives in the heather on Moel Famau?
Whose Jubilee was the tower built to celebrate?
What surprises were there when the tower was excavated?

Our new ukulele group is up and running. We have already learnt 2 chords so there are loads of songs to sing!
